We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team.
As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of our facilities.
This is a vital role in ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for employees and visitors.
Responsibilities:
-Tasks include removing trash, vacuuming and mopping classrooms, gym, office, teacher's lounge, bathrooms, and stairways.
Hallways also need to be vacuumed and mopped.
Handrails, doorknobs, and garbage cans should be dusted and cleaned.
Classrooms and bathrooms require cleaning and disinfecting.
Additionally, bathrooms need restocking with toilet paper, towels, and soap.
Work is required after 9 PM on certain Sundays or early Monday morning before school opens.
- Perform custodial duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming - Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas - Empty trash receptacles and replace liners - Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when restocking is needed - Perform routine maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs and fixing minor facility issues - Follow proper safety procedures to prevent accidents and injuries - Adhere to company policies and regulations regarding cleanliness and hygiene standards - Assist with setting up meeting rooms or event spaces as needed Requirements:
-Candidates must be capable of lifting at least 50 pounds, climbing ladders for light maintenance tasks including bulb replacement and minor repairs using a drill.
-A valid New Jersey Driver's License and personal vehicle are required.
-A fingerprint and background check are mandatory.
Applicants must possess valid working documents.
