PeopleSoft Financial Business Analyst - Reporting


Project Description: We are working with a retail organization that has recently acquired a significant amount of new stores that they're looking to integrate with their current PeopleSoft 9.2 FSCM System. The client is looking for a PeopleSoft Financials Business Analyst that has a very strong functional understanding of the core Financial Modules (GL, AP, AR, e-Procurement) including hands-on experience in financial reporting and report generation. This person must have a strong understanding of the accounting procedures within PeopleSoft GL, AP, AR, and Procurement; including being very experience with financial data and how to move it within the PeopleSoft Financial system.

The client will be merging the business processes and applications from their current system AND their acquired companies system into a common platform and providing the interim solution where the combined business can be supported by leveraging both the current client and the acquired client's applications for the Financial Consolidation functions.

The objective of this person is to :
o Implement a solution that enables consolidated PeopleSoft Financial Reporting processes and policies for Store and DC across both organizations.
o Work with the business and end users to gather requirements and modify existing reports as well as create new custom reports.

Acquisition Experience / Conversion Experience is extremely VITAL

This person will gather user requirements and business objectives, propose configurations and processes as needed around Reporting within the PeopleSoft Financial Suite (specifically GL, AP, AR, and Procurement), identify and work to mitigate risks, and will work with the team to translate requirements into a functional design for project delivery. This role will collaborate with the Finance IT Department, Commercial Customer team, Front Office IT application teams, business stakeholders, and the development team to define and confirm requirements and designs.
Although this person will act as a true functional SME they need to have Business Analyst skills true PeopleSoft GL Business Analyst abilities and a true understanding of the Record to Report Process within Psoft GL. Analyst skills include a lot of mapping, requirement gathering, and business process expertise.

This person must be able to take a specific "Scopt Item" (there are many within this GPI Integration Project) and from there - schedule meetings with necessary employees, gather the requirements, document the requirements, and execute creating necessary functional specs and integration roadmap for that specific Scope item.

This person must almost act as a mini PM to guide each scope item to completion with all the employees necessary and OWN each scope item. Remember, the overall scope here is to integrate the Acquired companies GL (Oracle EBS) into PeopleSoft. Heavy Analysis of financial data within both system is important, this is truly a BUSINESS Analyst. No technical / development skills within PeopleSoft are needed, in fact, they need to be so functional that they really understand the business side of GL and what makes sense to integrate and what not to integrate within the two different GL Systems.
This person will need to manage the effort required to complete assigned tasks, as well as provide status updates to the project manager.


Day to Day Responsibilities:
Integrate the use of the Client's project development lifecycle into project delivery.
Facilitate requirements gathering sessions/workshops with multiple stakeholders.
Gather/document/confirm business processes and requirements.
Conduct gap analysis against requirements to determine modifications required
Develop configuration documents and functional designs for report, interface, conversion, extension, form and workflow modifications.
Develop test scripts and related documents.
Document/consolidate/distribute meeting minutes accordingly.
Perform related duties as assigned or requested.
Must manage time and effort in order to meet project deadlines.

Required:
PeopleSoft functional consultant with experience in V9.2 in PeopleSoft Finance modules: AP, PO, e-Procurement, and General Ledger.
Knowledge of PeopleSoft processing, AP, GL, AR accounting procedures, applications and data.
Expert Level with PeopleSoft Financial Reporting tools (n-Vision, SQR, Excel)
Must be able to work independently to create and deliver requirements.
Experience with configuration, conversions and integrating third party application.
Analytical and organizational skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
