PeopleSoft Techno-Functional HCM

Project Environment- Last year our client utilized an integrator to implement PeopleSoft 9.1 HCM for Core HR, Payroll, Ben Admin, and are looking to rollout mSS and eRecruit in the upcoming quarter. Currently this company pays around 18,000 employees on both a weekly and monthly pay cycle and has their PeopleSoft payroll system heavily interfaced with Kronos Timekeeping. It has now been decided that a new pay group needs to be setup within PeopleSoft Payroll that will pay a particular group of employees on a bi-weekly paycycle in addition to the existing paycycles.
For this project, a PeopleSoft business analyst with a particular background in payroll is needed to be a liason between the functional and technical teams.
Day to Day responsibilities- This consultant will be asked to come and assess the current PeopleSoft payroll set-up and begin to plan the best approach to implement a bi-weekly pay cycle with both the technical and functional teams. In order to be successful with this task, this consultant should have an expert understanding the pay tables and pay groups and the best approach for functional configuration and technical set up for creating a new pay group on a new paycycle.
From a technical perspective this role will not require any development or coding work, but this person will be reviewing code and technical specifications so reading PeopleCode and having a background with SQL, SQR, App Engine, and PS Query is required. This consultant should have a good understanding of interfaces as they relate to Payroll to Kronos and also benefits interfaces.
From a functional perspective, this consultant should have the ability to gather requirements, documentation, and review our client's current business processes within HCM and make suggestions for better usages.
Required Skills:
- PeopleSoft HCM 8-10 years
- Expert with PeopleSoft Payroll (paytables, paycycles)
- Technical skills to read code, SQL, SQR, understand App Engines
- Expert with Interfaces (Kronos preferred)
- Functional skills to gather requirements, document, and implement particular business processes
- Understanding of bi-weekly payroll set-up
- Expert with communicationEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
