Project Environment-
Our client is currently on the tailend of a conversion from PeopleSoft 9.1 for Finance HCM to Workday HCM for Core HR, Benefits, Payroll, Talent, Compensation, and Absence Management. The client has about 14,000 employees and is made up of about 60-65 different companies.
The conversion is being led by a Workday certified implementation partner and the Workday Project manager from the client's side has recently had to leave for personal reasons. There is a need for a Workday Project manager to drive the project to go-live and help with various other projects within Workday post go-live.
Day to Day responsibilities-
Our client has recently finished P2 testing and are supposed to go-live on Workday at the end of October. At the moment, there are many issues with the integrations that need to be taken care of. This project manager will be responsible for defining and managing timelines, budgets, resources and deliverables once a project has been validated and prioritized by business stakeholders. This role integrates various groups for the Workday project across IT and business disciplines (product, architecture, development, QA, business process) to make sure that project teams are delivering what is expected, when it is expected.
The PM must have a grasp of both the big picture of a project and the fine detail level to critically examine project health, proactively manage risk and swiftly resolve issues. The PM applies project management standards with an understanding of project scope to customize the Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC), balancing efficiency and effectiveness of project team execution with quality deliverables.
Required Skills:
- Workday PM experience 1-2 projects
- Ability to plan, schedule, and coordinate timelines and project plans
- Ability to work off of existing project plan
- Scrum or PMI certifications
- Communication with various groups (IT, QA, Business, Stakeholders, Users, Etc.)
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
