Responsibilities :-
- Adhering to SLAs
- Reporting to the Track Lead
- Mentoring / Training Team Members
- Assign tasks to the team members
- Monitor team members and their SLAs
- Configuration Management
- Handling tickets / requests
- Perform root cause analysis
- Troubleshooting technical issues
- Defining processes and ensuring that the processes are adhered to
- Oversees and is responsible for successful completion of Installation, configuration and migration
- Ensure maximum uptime according to the SLA
- Understanding of Multi-geo support environment
- Responsible for building / maintaining a test environment
- Responsible for strategizing a backup plan and test plan for failure scenario
- Improves and maintains customer and employee satisfaction
- Suggests new technologies and design changes
- Monitoring and maintaining SLA requirements by the team members
- Planning Backup/Restoration Strategy for 24x7 operation support
- Suggesting patches/upgrades to maintain security level
- Testing / Auditing/processes as required from time to time
- Identify Skill gaps and plan for training / knowledge updating
- Assist in Data centre consolidation efforts
- Perform H/W & performance monitoring and maintenance
Technical Requirements
- Should have good experience in design, installation and management of large virtual server farm using VMWare
- Should have good expertise on installation and administration of Microsoft Windows / Linux platforms
- Should have skills on VMWare Vcenter, Vmotion, VMWare ESX Server
- Good to have Skills on other Microsoft products like Microsoft Exchange, ISA, SMS etc are desirable.
- Should have experience/ knowledge on SAN storage devices
- Experience on migration is an added advantage
- Good Proficiency in System Fault Tolerance Design, Business continuity and Disaster recovery planning
- Capacity planning and Fine tune system for optimal performance
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication and conversation skills (Verbal and Written)
- Good documentation skills
- Good working knowledge of MS OFFICE (Including MS Project and Visio)
- Should have a great customer handling skills
- Able to handle unforeseen situations
- High level of acceptance
- Can drive HCL's value and its methodology
Other Skills / Experience
- Worked on Production systems
- Datacenter understanding
- Candidates for Track/Team Lead should have good team management and planning skills in addition to sound technical background.
- Global exposure in large environments would be preferred.
- Onsite transition experience would be an added advantage.
- Experience with Database Migration, Installation, Upgrades and Patching
- Must be an expert in base OS and atleast one/some of the following with basic knowledge/awareness of some of the others:
- Active Directory
- SMS - Packaging and deployment
- File and Print Services
- Backup
- Exchange
- Windows Clustering
- Monitoring and Management tools like HPOVO, SIM (System Insight Manager), IBM Director, BMC Patrol, NetIQ, etc.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
